Posting Docs Online [Feb. 3rd, 2004|11:45 am]

I've had multiple requests for electronic versions of Bear in Winter docs. I'd like to put them up somewhere, except for the fact that they are huge (and Acrobat refuses to pdf them). The blueprints .zip file is 7MB alone, for example. If people still want them, I'd be happy to put them somewhere if somebody can offer host space.

We can do it

If it's just a few dozen mb and only about 40 people are grabbing copies, we can do it on a home DSL server. Alternatively, we may have space on a commercial account we have. As one of the people who asked, I'm more than happy to offer to help.

We're in LA until Saturday, but might be able to do it all remotely.

Re: We can do it

Good point. As long as the 40 people don't all try to download at once, it shouldn't be a problem. (Home DSL is what I have, too).

Re: Posting Docs Online

I have the space, but my bandwidth isn't great. Downloading them would be really slow.

Re: Posting Docs Online

I'll take you up on it since you were on staff, after all. Any ideas on how to transfer the files? I can put them up on IDEO's blind FTP server (they get deleted in 3 days) unless you have a better way.
